Package
DFI's board is aimed for a bit different market than Albatron's board. It doesn't have Serial ATA or RAID connectors but all the essential connectors are provided. DFI has bundled rear bracket with four USB2.0 connectors, IDE and floppy cables, manual and a driver CD. Not much but if you are looking for a budget board, you don't need anything more.

Connectors
All the basic connectors are provided. Two PS2 ports for mouse and keyboard, two USB2.0 connectors, RJ45 for the network, printer port and two serial ports. Also included are three AC'97 audio connectors and a game port.

Chips
I/O is handled with the popular Winbond W83627HF-AW chip and network by Realtek's RTL8100BL.

Motherboard connectors
On the left you can notice two headers that provide USB2.0 feature for the bundled rear bracket. Placement for the IDE and floppy connectors is not so good. They are rotated 90 degrees from the edge of the board so the cables will run towards the AGP display adapter and you need to bend the cable so it can reach the drive. Also you need to have a bit longer cables because the connectors are placed lower than usually and also because of that cable routing you have to do. On the other side this reduces the boards dimensions. This can be a nice feature if you are planning to build your own case. Blue jumper on the right is used to clear the CMOS.

Passive cooling
DFI has also decided to use passive cooling on the North Bridge. Noise reduction is always nice. Also visible is the ATX12V power connector and a blue jumper that is used to select between auto, 100 or 133 FSB.

Memory slots + power connector
In this board you can find only two memory slots. As you can remember i845 only supports two double sided memory modules and two slots should be enough in this kind of budget board.

Too close
Also with this board you have to take that longer AGP display adapter away before you can change the memory modules. Hopefully manufacturers focus on this issue on their future boards because this is a really annoying problem and shouldn't be too hard to solve.

BIOS

BIOS
From the BIOS you can find all the basic settings but here are some details:
CPU volts: default, +5%, +10%
AGP volts: default, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8
DDR volts: default, 2.7, 2.8, 2.9
FSB: 133-165
PCI: 33/66 - 44/88
