What can I say; It shines and works like a mirror. The whole XPC blends in a lot better than it used to and perhaps this piece shows that modding isn't always about flashy neons or extreme overclocking. Shuttle has classy looks on its own but we took it one step further with these marvellous products from English Custom Polishing.
Two mice?
It was quite hard to polish around those ventilation holes because they wore out the cloth quite fast. Bit less pressure and it worked out ok in the end.

Just wanted to compare the original with the modded one. There seems to be a huge difference between the two images but we all know how easily it can be done with right tools and materials. Great way to improve the appearance of these already stylish XPCs or regular PCs. Big or small, aluminun or steel, it doesn't matter because there are products for every possible metal.

As you may remember the purpose of this mod/review was to introduce polishing products of English Custom Polishing. That is why you will see the pros and cons list like in all our reviews on the left. Ah, true, only PROS this time. I can't find anything bad to say about these polishes. Only thing that may be taken as negative is the amount of time that is spent in polishing. Then again that is the time used to make the item perfect. If you settle for less than perfect it is your own choice but for those that want to have this perfect mirror finish, the time spent on the polishing is irrelevant. When I started to process it was my first contact to polishing. This is my first piece that I have polished and as you can see it turned out great. I hope that this proves that you don't have to be a professional to get the same results. A combination of good quality polishing products and instructions from the manufacturer's site will get you there. As they say at their site; "The Finest Metal Polishes In The World", is now something that I can agree. It is hard to believe that there could be anything better available and even if there is, these products of English Custom Polishing are now proven to be perfect on working with computer cases. I hope that in the future we start to see more modded setups that use this kind of technique to stand out from the crowd. Lights, paints and stickers are something that we all have seen. Perhaps now is the time to move on and start to use new tools and fresh ideas to make your setup the winner. Products from English Custom Polishing will help you on that for sure! |
